Couldn't load plugin 'canflood' due to an error when calling its classFactory() method #32
Comments
Did you have a previous version installed? Did you try restarting QGIS?
What version of CanFlood did you try and install (the repository page
should say this)?

This message came right after CanFlood installation. I am not sure which
version of CanFlood was installed as I just searched the plugin from the
QGIS repository according to the Installation Instructions.

Try uninstalling, restarting , then reinstalling.
If you’re still getting the same error, please send the screen shot of your

I actually have already installed 3.18.2 before 3.16.14 (which is the one tested based on the installation instructions). Both versions ended up with the same errors. |
Having multiple QGIS installs shouldn’t be a problem.
You have the wrong QT version. Make sure you’re installing QGIS from the
correct binaries.

While I installed 3.16.14, 3.18.2 was not deleted from my computer so
would you recommend me to uninstall both and only try 3.16.14 again?

I believe your issue is related to incompatible installations of QGIS, which they fixed a few months ago. The latest version of CanFlood should be run with QGIS 3.22.8 (described on the project page), which should avoid the issue you mention. Please advise if you're still having issues after installing on 3.22.8 (you shouldn't need to uninstall old QGIS versions). |

This message came right after CanFlood installation. I am not sure which version of CanFlood was installed as I just searched the plugin from the QGIS repository according to the Installation Instructions.
