We are going through the TRACE DA assessment input models and correcting for loop closure issues. We are using the SNAP plugin TRACE 4.6.7 which has the capability of converting HTSTRs to use the second-order finite-element conduction solver that will be going into TRACE Patch 10 (if I understand correctly).
I am working with the set of UPTF ECCS Bypass input models (11 of them). All but one of the input models use HTSTR components to define the metal mass in the vessel component. All models used the built-in HTSTR capability for 1-D components (i.e. nodes is greater than 0). When I bring these models into SNAP and set namelist variable ISOLVEDEF = 1, the conversion from the finite volume conduction solver to the second-order finite-element conduction solver works as it is intended for all HTSTRs and 1-D built-in HTSTRs, except for the input model that does not contain any HTSTR components (only 1-D built-in HTSTRs). Is there a work around in SNAP to get the 1-D built-in HTSTRs to convert over to the correct format for the second-order finite-element conduction solver?
