Currently the k8s cluster has a single master node that cannot be easily switched to another
machine, either for the case of a planned outage or in the case of equipment failure. The kubeadm configuration utility (that was used to initially configure our cluster) provides for a HA master configuration as described here.

Configure the k8s cluster HA, once hardware has been allocated and available, and after the 2.0
release.
