Provisional Names of the form "pnw-nn" and the like should link to Miller, D., Danny’s DNA Discoveries.
That site is an ongoing attempt to document all of the mushrooms species that occur in the Pacific Northwest based on DNA analysis. (PNW == WA, OR, ID and southern BC).

Issue: which page to link to:
Danny’s DNA Discoveries is work-in-progress which is being built out.

  • It doesn't have links to every genus, family, order, class ... or even phylum. E.g., there's no link yet for Ascos.
  • Picking the correct page therefore might involve
    • a chron job which would create a list the currently available DDD pages
    • something in Name which would scan that list and link to the most detailed available DDD page for the provisional name.

Start very simple:

  • Name Research Links includes link to the DDD top-level page
  • Name Nomenclature includes link to DDD top-level page if it's a pnw provisional.
    • pnw provisional == epithet matches "PNW" case insensistive, or author matches PNW
