I was gonna write about why separate pages will avoid overwhelm for someone new. But then I realized, what we should do is
Let asknot be the sorting hat. Once a contributor goes through asknot, they should directly reach the page where they can start contributing. |
I think a better option would be to land them all directly to the corresponding github pages. I personally feel redirecting to the wiki isn't really a good idea, what we need to do is to ask just enough questions to make sure that the person who is willing to contribute finds what he's really looking for. Additionally we can also set the list of projects on github and take them to the one's which are labeled as |
@sudheesh001 I like the idea of the labeling system. Yes, it'll help a lot of people. Again, we should think of who'd categorize the bugs and label them. If that's done, framing the questions will be a a breeze. |
I think its best if the owners of the project / repo do that labeling task. What we need to provide them is a generic framework so that other organizations can also adapt the same to onboard code contributors without having them run around on the Wiki. |
Okay fine, I'll implement direct link to GitHub repo then.

The asknot repo is structured in such a way that projects/guidelines to contribute is separated according to the programming languages which people are fond of, which makes perfect sense being Mozilla. For Mozilla India, we could do this:
Suggestions are welcome. :)
