Consolidated List of Enhancements

The following are known issues/enhancements in the queue in no particular order.

• 01. Fix movies that have 0 for average diff, standard deviations of 9999999
• 02. Revise webcontrol so that do not have to first click on camera before clicking on the recordings to see the movies list
• 03. Add additional log messages when no camera configuration file is provided.
• 04. The watchdog process does not seem to restart all the cameras
• 05. More log messages during watchdog shutdown regarding everything being shutdown and restarted.
• 06. Rework the parameters passed into event module to avoid ftype
• 07. Rework the parameters C array and use vector/list
• 08. Add log message of what user parameter is being parsed.
• 09. Add MovieStart/MovieEnd webcontrol actions
• 10. Add option to turn off standard deviation difference checks.
• 11. Develop process to consistently implement configuration changes done via web control.
• 12. Add thumbnail option for movies.
• 13. TrueType fonts (Difficult).
• 14. User specified colors for boxes / crosses.
• 15. CUDA decoding for network cameras.
• 16. Sound recording from v4l2 + ALSA (Difficult)
• 17. Add OpenCV descriptions of items detected to database/webcontrol recordings list.
• 18. Use HW decoding by default when available
• 19. Revise watchdog defaults, reset upon lost/found cameras
• 20. Revise the indexes provided and/or used in the JSON to be consistent.
• 21. Add the three missing configuration parameters for libcamera.

• 23. Rewrite the dreadful exif.cpp module.
• 24. Determine a clean/remove process

• 34. Get webcontrol to play recordings upon clicking instead of downloading
• 35. Implement different streaming method than mjpg(difficult). (implemented mpegts!!!)
• 36. Move avcodec_log function out of the movie module.
• 37. Create a parameter to change log level of av log messages.
• 38. Implement passthrough like variant for the mpegts
• 39. Check for new cert/key files and restart as needed
• 40. Improve web page display when using static method.
• 41. Add image click function for consolidated stream image to send user to clicked camera.
• 42. Revise modules to use C++ features (classes, vectors, lists, etc)
• 43. Implement rotation on secondary detection.
• 44. Add functionality to use OpenCV background subtraction as the primary method.
• 45. Revise to use OpenCV object/human detection as the default.
• 46. Upload trained models and/or list links on documentation/examples page.
• 47. Eliminate warnings from clang compile. (signed comparisons, etc)
• 48. Process sound configuration parameters via webcontrol
• 49. Create web stream for log output to view via webpage.

• 52. Add drop down (or other selection method) to change image feeds on web page.
• 53. Revise default for webcontrol params.
• 54. Limit scripts to be only those that already exist and are in the config directory or subdirectory.
• 55. Change the config directory from /etc to /var/lib/motionplus
• 56. Revise installed permissions so that users can change configuration via web.
• 57. Implement additional feed that includes sound from camera (HLS? Difficult)
• 58. Fix camera, webcontrol and signal threads processing when a camera is added/deleted. (cam_cnt changes)
• 59. Enhance all camera feed to handle dynamic changes in camera counts or source picture dimensions.
• 60. Class for "all camera" processes.
• 61. Only request and load incremental log messages.
