Using the Flynnsbit MyMenu Shareware Pack-fbit.vhd as my boot HDD in IDE 0-0 and a second VHD I created myself in IDE 0-1 that I installed the games onto, MechWarrior 2 and Ghost Bear's Legacy work just like on a real 486 in DOS but it doesn't want to go back the menu UI when you complete a mission. It just hangs on the press any key to continue message. I ripped the physical CDs from my collection I've had since the '90s.
MechWarrior 2 is version 1.1 if that matters at all.
I also tried running them from a Windows 95 VHD I created and running the Windows version of GBL and get an error. "One or more DLLs not found. Please reinstall MECHWARRIOR 2: Ghost Bear's Legacy." You click okay and the same dialog box pops back up over and over like it's caught in a loop.
My Mw2 CD doesn't have a Windows version of the game but when I run the DOS exe in Win95 it bluescreens.
However, when I go to DOS from Windows 95 and run them it seems to let me finish a mission without hanging. No issues other than slower framerate in missions than DOS, which is probably a Win95 configuration thing.
I also tried setting up a MS-DOS 6.22 VHD with Univbe and while the games run, the resolution seems to be screwed up and instead of hanging on mission completion it dumps me to the DOS prompt.
