Dracula X Nocturne in the Moonlight - Weird Cape Flickering #269
Comments
The text I wrote above the video got deleted. I'm sorry. With the latest nightly build, the were some weird graphical glitches that appeared in Dracula X - Nocturne in the Moonlight. The build I referenced fixed those issues, but introduced a new issue. The Glaring Cloth has started flickering. The video I posted showcases the issue. |
@TheGreatBulzome, the video doesn't work. |
I've seen a very quick white flickering on the cape yesterday (just some frames), after some tests with the 2024-10-30 version. But it needs a test on previous versions of the core & on the original hardware for comparisons. |
I'm sorry.I guess Github didn't like my video.. I've uploaded it to my Dropbox. This second video shows all the capes I have. Only the Glaring Cloth is flickering. |
This flicker was on previous builds and is normal game behavior. It is a special effect when the color of the object (in this case it is light grey and dark grey) changes in even and odd frames. On older analogue TVs, this should look like a striped object with a smooth transition between the stripes and no flicker. Over the HDMI connection we see these color changes as flicker. |
Should be closed, as original feature of the game. |

I did confirm this issue with one other person in the MiSTer Discord.
I'm playing this over HDMI. If you my settings, I'll be happy to provide them.
