Guncon support #273
Comments
I have exactly the same snac and a similar cable only with a scart plug , my two Namco Guncons work without any problem. I use them with three different CRT TVs. Of course core has been tested with the original Guncons. |
Are they european, Japanese or us versions of the guns. Could it be that the core only works with one regional flavour of the guns? |
no , core works with any guncon regardless of what country it comes from. Guncon underwent intensive testing with the core for a long time, and was tested by many users from around the world. |
how do you connect the yellow composite cable ? through snac or port in the cable ? |
I got the guncon 1 to work. I had a ps1 controller in port 1 and guncon in port 2. When I unplugged ps1 controller and plugged guncon 1 i port 1, it worked. Castle spirit gun still does not work, however. Is that because it is a third party gun? |
I'm glad guncon works, unfortunately I don't know castle spirit gun. |
The readme of this core says it is compatible with original guncon controllers. I own a ps1 cobsole and two guncons.
I am using this psx-snac adapter bought from misterfpga.co.uk:
and this bought from ultimate mister:
Both these guns works on my original console. However not on this core. I have tested to set port 1 and 2 to snac and guncon. Guncon 2 works but does not gave sccuracy to play time crisis for example.
My monitor is a Phillips CM8833-II.
Is this core tested with original guncons? What combinations of adapters and guns work?
