Feature Request: Improve Population Diagram styling

For populations with >4 locations, the styling of the diagram causes it to not fit in my available window on a full sized monitor.

Ideally, the populations are drawn/organized like this:

for this population, i ended up needing to move the blocks like this:

At a minimum, we need the vias to not be serial presentation in a single line, rather, based on the paths - see https://composer.scicrunch.io/statement/114 - which really should take into account a parallel representation that origin & vias that are attached to only some of the origins. ...

Requirement:

• From the board grooming session, the first requirement is to investigate what the library gives us and present some proposal about that, after we can better define the requirements if what offered by the library is not good.
• cap this research to 4-6 hours to start, then we'll sync with Sue and Ilias
