I see that the current tag-gitlab version is 0.9.4.

And I see on Python Package Index: tap-gitlab 0.5.1

Do you think it is possible to update tap-gitlab on Python Package Index?

@stephane-klein Thanks for reporting this!

Unfortunately, we don't actually have the ability to update https://pypi.org/project/tap-gitlab, since it's managed by the Singer team at Stitch and tracks their repo at https://github.com/singer-io/tap-gitlab, of which our https://gitlab.com/meltano/tap-gitlab is a fork.

We've considered submitting our changes back upstream via PRs, but we've been a bit discouraged by the slow review times we've seen on other PRs: https://github.com/singer-io/tap-gitlab/pulls

Is it an option for you to keep pointing at tap-gitlab by URL? If not, we can consider publishing a new meltano-tap-gitlab package on PyPi.
