"We carried out an additional quality control step to distinguish between single nuclei (stripped nuclei) from single cells using gene signatures described in a previous study27. This identified several such stripped nuclei clusters (colored gray in uniform manifold approximation and projections (UMAPs))."
I have a couple of questions regarding this:
Which specific genes were used in the gene signatures to distinguish between single nuclei (stripped nuclei) and single cells?
Which function or tool was used to compute the gene scores?
