Hi everyone, I have a TP-Link TL-WN822N V4 (EU).

I've tried to make my VM (I'm using Parrot OS maybe that's the problem) to detect my TP-Link but it just doesn't. Is not showing up when I use the following commands:

lsusb shows:

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

iwconfig shows:

lo no wireless extensions.

enp0s3 no wireless extensions.

I'm connected to the Internet in my VM but thanks to the wifi card on my laptop. But I would like to be able to use the TP-Link to connect my VM to the Internet instead of the wifi card.

I can use the TP-Link to connect myself to the internet in my Windows 11.

I've been days looking for something to solve my problem. I've tried a lot of things:

  • Updating drivers from the TP-Link website.
  • Following steps from tutorials in YouTube
  • Downloading repositories.

Nothing has worked. I even tried with this repository because it seemed to really work but it doesn't. Maybe because is made for another OS that is not Parrot? I don't know.

I'm getting into using Virtual Machines and that so this is all new to me to be honest, I'm kinda noob.

Could someone help me solve this? I would really appreciate it!!!
