I have a 2005 Dodge cummins with what I believe has a bad ECM. I took the truck to a local shop and they were unable to communicate with the ECM with their shop scan tool (SnapOn IIRC).
I sent it to a ECM repair place and they told me they could communicate with the ECM. In order to rule out the wiring in the truck, I wired the ECM directly to a PLX Kiwi 3 (which supports J1850) and powered everything up on my bench.. The Kiwi also could not connect.
I noticed in the pinout for the OBD2 that it has both PCI Bus (pin 2) as well as SCI Transmit (pin 7) & Receive (pin 12).
Which pin(s) does the DRB Reader use?
