Course information breaks upon refresh

The course information page fails to properly display information upon hitting refresh button.

Same fix as #11. Fixed issue temporarily by simply transplanting the code that reads the data from the database in app.js to courses.js. A better way to do this will be sought, as the code reuse here is high, but it illustrates how the fix ought to work.
