Just forked matterbridge-example-dynamic-platform plugin and pushed a first proof of concept. See https://github.com/IvoGruber/matterbridge-webhook if you like. |
Hi, https://github.com/Luligu/matterbridge-webhooks?tab=readme-ov-file Let me know any enhancements you can see please. I was thinking to add:

HI @Luligu, thanks for picking up that idea. Currently do not have time to test it in depth. Just installed the plugin now and tried to configure a webhook to toggle a shelly 1. The Test button is very nice but did not work as expected in the first attempt. If you just enter the URL for a new webhook and try to press it ... nothing happens. When I stored the config, restarted matterbridge and then pressed the Test button in the config again it worked. Maybe storing and reopening is enough?! But I think even that is not the idea of the button?! |
Hi, I don't remember if it was you to suggest it but I published also the matterbridge-bthome plugin that natively support the bthome devices via ble. Thanks a gain for your ideas. |
Hi @Luligu ,
I already played around with the matterbridge-example-dynamic-platform plugin and made a promising proof of concept to create a switch (outlet) device for webhooks. The idea is to just call a webhook, when the device is switched on. It later switches off automatically after a short time of period. I choosed outlet because of (you name it) Alexa.
Thus it would be able to create a custom voice command that can than switch on the outlet and the matterbridge calls the webhook, which in my case is created in home assistant and can trigger a specific automation.
This would overcome a lot of current limitations like you can have that feature now cloudless and free.
I know it's kind of a hack but if you like to build something like that I can at least give you the proof of concept and would help out as much as I can.
