Suggestions for docs, in the Appendix, a conglomeration of tips and tricks, Stuff architectural or other drafters might use.
Maybe a short listing of typical architectural and structural page numbers. A2.1 floor plan etc.
An abbreviated list of the numbering system for specs and architectural data.
Maybe a short list of standard lumber (timber) sizes, a few standard steel sections, some steel studs or girts.
Some of the standard stuff a good project manager keeps in a binder for quick reference. Standard door sizes. Standard fastener sizes and names. nail chart. screw chart. pipe chart with ID and OD where consistent. Without going too far overboard of course.
A chart of file name extensions for various cad programs, images, fonts, linetypes, hatches.
A small chart of common building code designations for occupancies, construction types for USA at least.
Some country specific product sizes as they may differ for India if possible, and definately for Ukraine.
Wheelchair ramp, door swing, toilet stall for wheelchair, threshold diagram, drinking fountain, sink diagram.
rough chart of weights/mass for soil, water, wood, concrete, steel, by cubic foot or metric.
Std architectural abbreviations. With regional variations.
Chart of metric and imperial weights and measures.
Some misc. items added for convenience of user. A little 0/90/180/260 diagram, the four coordinate systems diagrams small, common line types blown up, maybe a few hatches by name. A handy reference card really. Preferably all on one or two pages for reproduction. Maybe list of arch and metric paper sizes listing also.
Sorry the list keeps growing... its a cheat sheet not a book... but would add value. But with a good disclaimer that its all my fault...
Could call it Goodies for Nerds. And it might be called, Gary's Goodies for Nerds if you want them to blame me personally. An old architect's rules of thumb for struggling cad drafters it could be called. Sort of an severely abridged Graphic Standards Handbook for Architectural Drafting.
