Documentation on the XLX Interlink protocol?

I am looking for documentation on the XLX interlink protocol for a project I am working on. Is there any some where or do I just have to read the code for it?

No docs are available AFAIK it is derivated from DExtra... I think looking at the code is quite self explaning;
