RIMCAS seems pretty dumb as it is in vSMR (from what I can tell, I haven't look in too much detail).
Just alerts as soon as 2 planes are inside the runway area.

It would be good if we could get a bit more realistic with this, if you have more insight about this feel free to share @kusterjs

This is very simple, for sure. Especially as you may have two aircraft lined up (full length and intersection), which is perfectly fine.
Especially for runway crossings as we have in Zurich, the vectors of aircraft are taken into consideration. It's kind of an STCA, maybe with adapted timings. As soon as the vectors of two aircraft operating on the same or crossing runway cross, RIMCAS needs to be triggered. The vector length is probably around 30-45 seconds, this might be a value to be adjusted in the settings.
