You can still enable/disable the thermostat in eco mode - Yours is currently disabled, because the flame icon on the bottom left is white instead of red. Click it and BT will be enabled in eco mode.
I assume it's a feature, but I get it's not obvious with the bar also still being green. Maybe file a request for the BT ui card, to make the bar gray if in eco mode but heating is turned off? Actually testing it rn, this seems bugged / not considered consistently:
Turning off (right icon) BT automatically seems to disable eco-mode for some reason
Turning on eco works, but doesn't enable BT/heating, as you see it happening
So I think it should be consistent, and either:
enabling eco should automatically enable BT (integration issue), or
eco should be independent and shown with gray bar (frontend issue), as well as turning off heating should not disable eco mode
@KartoffelToby , @wtom RFC - Was this behaviour intentional, or can we make it more consistent? And if so, what's your opinion on the preferred solution?
After turning on the heating, if we first turn on the eco mode, the heating does not turn on.
