After turning on the heating, if we first turn on the eco mode, the heating does not turn on.

You can still enable/disable the thermostat in eco mode - Yours is currently disabled, because the flame icon on the bottom left is white instead of red. Click it and BT will be enabled in eco mode.

I assume it's a feature, but I get it's not obvious with the bar also still being green. Maybe file a request for the BT ui card, to make the bar gray if in eco mode but heating is turned off? Actually testing it rn, this seems bugged / not considered consistently:

  • Turning off (right icon) BT automatically seems to disable eco-mode for some reason
  • Turning on eco works, but doesn't enable BT/heating, as you see it happening

So I think it should be consistent, and either:

  • enabling eco should automatically enable BT (integration issue), or
  • eco should be independent and shown with gray bar (frontend issue), as well as turning off heating should not disable eco mode

@KartoffelToby , @wtom RFC - Was this behaviour intentional, or can we make it more consistent? And if so, what's your opinion on the preferred solution?
