Squished text when recalling .epub

What happened?

When "tap pagination" and "immersive mode" is on, and continuing a .epub book, a green and blue bar squish the text. See Image below.

What did you expect?

the page to be formatted properly. If you go back and forth pages it resolves itself.

These are what are called as screen hints to help you know the area to tap and which direction you are paginating in.

They should only show for a small time on load (once) or whenever you switch reading direction. You can disable them in your user settings.

they go away but the format of the text stays which is jumbled. Like I said, it fixes itself if you flip back and forth on pages. Also "Show screen hints" is only under "Image reader" not "Book Reader"

Okay I understand, the issue is not the screen hints, but that the column layout is getting offset in a weird way.

This happens to me as well on iOS with epub files sometimes when my phone rotates from portrait, to landscape, then back to portrait.
