Am I missing something?, as I can't see proper guidelines to install it on Linux distros.

There is https://github.com/KDAB/Charm/blob/master/BUILD if you want to build it yourself.
For prebuilt variant we have https://github.com/KDAB/Charm#downloads

PS: Ubuntu has it in it's main repo: https://pkgs.org/search/?q=charm
