Is load/unload filament working? #64
-
I didn't want to open a bug in case it was a config issue on my part. I have my advanced pause set up as shown below. Unload Filament doesn't seem to be working. All that happens is the z-axis raises up and then it extrudes some material. The G-code command does the same thing as the menu. Load filament is similar - it feeds a little, purges, then is done. Am I missing something here?

I experienced some similar issues when trying to test the load/unload features. Try going into control and resetting your EEPROM to default with the reset button. This fixed the issue for me. |

Both, the unload and the load lenght are saved into EEPROM, for whatever reason. So when you change these values make sure to clear the EEPROM. Can be done from the Control menu. |

Do you have to clear the EEPROM every time you restart the printer? I use M420 in my start gcodes to restore my bed leveling mesh and clearing the EEPROM also clears any saved mesh if I'm correct. Would both the "Clear Settings" and "Reset to Defaults" options clear the mesh as well as fix this issue? |
