@mforets should this be here or in IntervalMatrices.jl? In this issue by benchmark I really meant a detailed discussion of the results of the benchmark, how different algorithms work, why one is faster, in what cases overestimation occurs etc., similar to my blogpost but more detailed.

i suggest to keep detailed discussion and interpretation of results about matrix products in the ILA docs, irrespective if we combine features from these packages.
