I run into performance issues when using the editor for long articles. I tried to weite a blog post with ~ 2400 words (~ 15000 chars) and the editor could not keep up with my keystrokes any more after I wrote about 1000 words.
Maybe this is related to the kirbytags mode, which more CPU time for syntax-highlighting?
Cheers
Fabian

The custom kirbytext highlighter for CodeMirror isn't that complex; at least a lot less complex then any JS/HTML/CSS highlighter would be. I'll have to investigate if this is an issue with CodeMirror or with Visual Markdown Editor.
