General troubleshooting tips

Before logging an issue please check that:

Required information

In order to help us sort your issue, we ask that you provide the following information:

• Mac model: pro m1 2021
• macOS version: 12.7.2
• Monitor setup: only the built-in one

If appropriate, please enable Debug mode and Log to disk in Advanced tab and replicate your bug, then attach the AerialLog.txt file (You can access this file through the Advanced tab).

Description of issue / Feature request

Hi, first of all, thanks for such a nice app!

Been using this for a long time, I've updated the app a few months ago since the video sources got outdated, started to experience freezes. They disappeared for some time, but now they're happening again.

• It starts when I wanna stop the screensaver, I just touch my touchid button and it starts to lag heavily
• It lags for around 30 secs, while it does, I can't really do anything, there's no feedback or it gets really slow
• Observing activity monitor shows that during this freeze, diagnostic is consuming around 100-200% CPU
• When exiting the screensaver (the same way via touching the touched button I can even notice that HDR is turning off (?), like the brightness is going lower frame by frame
• Sometimes the clock is stuck during the videos for about 5 seconds, while the videos are playing okay
• I have littlesnitch installed, but I do not limit any activity for aerial
