I customized the "InProceedings" type to include pages as requried fields, because I have the obligation to add page numbers at each reference. I thought, JabRef could help me there by flagging all "wrong" entries with a red indicator in the entry table.

Without being at a PC, I would state that this was working in earlier versions...

Yes, I checked it. In version 3.8.2, it worked.
