VAST Release Notes

4.2

Updated for compliance with 4.2 spec Aug 1, 2019. You may diff files "vast_4.1.xsd" and "vast_4.2.xsd"

  • Allow multiple UniversalAdId elements
  • Modify Creative_Base_type to use sequence instead of all to allow for multiple UniversalAdId values
  • Addition of IconClickFallbackImages element and sub elements
  • Modify Icons element to use sequence instead of all to allow for multiple Icon values
  • Updated with references to SIMID in notes.

Updated to match 4.1 draft for public comment June 4, 2018. Recommend you diff files "vast_4.1.xsd" and "vast4.xsd".

  • Deprecation of VPAID related features
  • Removal of Flash references and support
  • Simplification of Tracking and Clickthrough elements
  • Simplification of Verification elements to be common across Inline and Wrapper elements
  • Generalization of some elements to support Audio media in VAST
  • Addition of adType to Ad element
  • Addition of BlockedAdCategories element
  • Addition of AdServingId element to Inline type
  • Addition of Expires element to Inline type
