L-Shaped Ads Support (SIMID 1.2) - More Discussion Needed

Problem
Serving an L-Shaped ad creative will require the video player to resize and reposition content video which is not something that VAST/VPAID do not currently support.

Overall Approach:

• AdCom will need a parameter to identify that this ad type requires the reposition/resize functionality before the bid occurs.
• Once the bid has been won, publisher video players will need to have the ability to reposition and resize the video content.

Three approaches were suggested:

1. Update SIMID 1.2 spec to pass additional AdCom parameters from publisher to ad server. Pass requirements to a publisher via Extension.
2. Use VAST. Custom integration with publishers to utilize the image in the companion as an overlay.
3. Use VAST. Custom integration with publishers to treat the ad as non-linear with content-resize.

Furthermore, it was considered that maybe "L-Shape" be added as a completely new ad-type called, "L-Shape"
