It is the Privacy Indicator header something which isn't defined in the DMR standard. When you see these frames it is a sure sign that Motorola enhanced privacy encryption is in use. It is sent at the start of an encrypted voice conversation and tells the radios which keys to use and probably the initial encryption buffer settings.

Thank you for your answer. Is it used by motorola only or can I see these frames from my TYT?

Not sure. All the systems I have seen so far which use PI headers have been Motorola ones. Try setting various encryption types on your TYT and see if it transmits any PI headers. If it does I would be very interested in seeing them.

Hi Guys! Have somebody a chance to get documentation about the structure of the PI header?
Just have reviewed all of the eTSI standards - but have not found the answer...

The PI Header frame type is defined in the ETSI standard but not its contents. Basically each manufacturer can define what they put into such a frame.

Looks like you are right!
May you have Motorolla PI header info?
