Huge performance decrease after upgrading to v3

I was previously using version 2.1.2 and today I upgraded to version 3.1.0 and holy shit isn't it slow.
Not only is it slow, but it easily overheats my device, causing rapid battery drainage. I also tried version 3.0.0 and it's the same.

Image thumbnails take ages to load and opening images as well. The scrolling is also very laggy.

It might be due to the image classification, go on that section, hold the progress bar to cancel, delete the classification and opt-out From settings
