Bind Soul doesn't work

Simply put, I died as a Wiz when some random shot a lethal injection syringe at me and I couldn't reach anti-tox meds quick enough, The first thing I did when I got on the station was bind my soul to a Folder in the Bridge AI Upload room. I thought Bind Soul worked automatically so I ahelped after a few minutes to ask if it did, The Admin at the time told me to press Bind Soul again as a ghost, but all I received was the "Not when you're incapacitated." Message every time I pressed it. I checked if the Folder was still on the station and it was, The admin then told me they had no idea on the issue.

Um you did it wrong I was observing you when you died, you were not a skeleton and therefore not a lich.
Was the folder blueish darkish after you binded it and did it spawn black robes under you?
What I think happened was that you used the spell but moved before it could bind your soul you need to stay still for it to bind your soul. I did I did this mistake my first time too.
Can you confirm this is the case?
