In order to create a mailing list with the emails of the NGI actors, we should hook up the map to the MailChimp API used by Martel.

@chicco785 should provide details on how the Mailchimp API can be used to create and maintain this mailing list.

there are several PHP libraries available to interact with it:

said so, I don't recall exactly which type of integration is planned (is this to subscribe people?!), or which mailing list you plan to interact with (the one of hub4ngi, a specific one?)

accordingly we can provide:

• api key
• list name to be used to add users

Thanks @chicco785 I think there should be a separate mailing list, in which the emails from the actors should be added. @nislah any special requirements for this list?

The NGI map actors should be on 2 separate mailing lists:

1. The general NGI news; and
2. The NGI Actors mailing list.
   The 1) is used for all NGI related contacts to share general information. The 2) can be used in case there is targeted information to all NGI actors on the map.

How to get email addresses from current actors on the map?
Alex sent raw data but it is impossible to find emails in that!

Please add on the NGI Map (actor) registration page within the “About Your Organisation:” - below “Your Email” a text (check grammar):
“You will be added automatically to the NGI mailing list to get latest updates about the Next Generation Internet (NGI). When receiving NGI news you have an option to unsubscribe.”

For the confirmation email to add:
“To stay always updated and to get latest Next Generation Internet (NGI) news you have been added on the NGI mailing list. When receiving NGI news you have an option to unsubscribe.”
