I have been thinking about this one for a while and it seems if we want the majority of teams to do clash detection and we want to make it easy to manage then we might have to just build it into Revit and then simply report it up to Mission Control as a sorting/ management and assignment interface. I'm not certain if this example, https://youtu.be/BVYVXHydHfo is real clash detection or if this is a sudo realtime 2D/2.5 approach.

I'd build this in two separate but connected tools. One that links to mission control and then a pure Revit plugin that makes it easy to open source so others in the industry can just use. I'd look to use BCF and maybe Simon's Sloth tool as the start of the UI? https://www.bim42.com/2017/07/sloth/

Need to do some design work before we start real development but might be good to look into some fast geometric techniques to do this.

I think we'd look for ways to make it smarter than just a clash but implementing some more "solibri" like checks.

Just a thought, maybe we ask Brett if he is interested in open sourcing the clash logic in clash MEP?
