Hello,
it would be nice having a build in sine wave generator option to quickly check signal passage and channel assignment.

I have considered this and think it could be quite useful. What I have in mind is a simple dummy input device where you specify number of channels, what signal to generate (sine or white noise), and at what signal level.

A second step could be to add a signal generator as a filter, for adding a test signal at any point in the pipeline.
