In #332 we noticed that switching on polarization in the PolyBeam looks kinda weird, and also that we didn't quite understand the implementation of polarized vs. unpolarized for the PolyBeam.

In the light of the new AnalyticBeam class in pyuvdata, we'd like to tighten this up. @philbull do you have any thoughts/suggestions?
