As with the weather data, this is another one that I am very keen on. I am an admin in a small regenerative ag & gardening community, and we're looking at ActivityPub to decentralise any social media and allow users to participate via Fediverse.

So, I give a definite +1 on such a feature.

At the moment there are a lot of RSS buttons; ie https://www.growstuff.org/members/clockwerx/plantings

For prototyping, is https://github.com/jehna/mastofeeder a useful tool?

I added ical feeds as well recently, but the UX feels a bit meh
