While the space saving can be beneficial, it's a problem when the positions are important when for example a transfer sheet is used for applying the cutout.

I would be great to have an option to turn off the space optimization.

thanks for filing this. I will make a change that preserves layout when only one slice inZ (through all parts) is indicated.
