This would probably be the best way to play Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team but it would be very experimental. I got the idea from this youtube video where they refer to it as 'picture-in-picture' mode. Skip to 13 minutes and 9 seconds, or a few seconds earlier to see how they handle swapping the upper and lower screens.
DS resolution 256 x 192 but for this I would render the bottom screen centered as big as it can be (around 280% size? That would be about 716 x 538 which would fit nicely in the Vita's 960 x 544) and the smaller screen at 256 x 192, cowering in the bottom right corner and at 80% transparency ideally. Do you have a donation link?
