Hotjar integration

Hotjar integration is not working properly - is there more documentation to read on this?

👋 Could you share your GitBook Docs site ID/name/link where you’ve installed Hotjar? Also, could you clarify what you mean by "it’s not working properly"? Are you installing the Site ID or the script? It needs to be the Site ID.

Hey @GeeAVID - is there something specific not working? Or it’s not working at all in general? Do you have a link to a published site that is using this integration at all?

It’s not tracking or recording – when I tried to verify the installation of the Hotjar ID verification, it says: ‘Tracking code not found’ Here is the gitbook published link: https://avid-detention.gitbook.io/avid-handbook Please let me know what’s the next step? Can you point out where you’re getting your tracking ID in Hotjar? I’ve loaded your site and I’m finding the tracking code there - so I’m curious if you’ve added the right ID

Oh great to know that! I will check the Hotjar to see if this is working in a few days. I got my hotjar tracking ID from their site and organisation settings, where it says install a tag and on the right handside corner has got Site ID. Is that correct? It’s the HotJar ID: https://help.hotjar.com/hc/en-us/articles/115011639927-What-is-the-Hotjar-Tracking-Code

You can find it in the tracking code, in the code after the hjid: part! I think it should be the same one you added, but double check this first
