Would it be feasible to alternatively download the data via https://kartat.kapsi.fi?

Are they being propely updated?

There has been multiple issues with other content not being properly update. Not sure about raw data but tiles offered though TMS and GeoServer have been outdated multiple times.

To me, the primary concern would not be updates but the ease of access.

Maybe more generic version to allow e.g. local disk repository. And few presets having NLS as default.

Thanks for the ideas! At the moment the tool is only for accessing NLS-FI Atom-feed. But if someone wants to develop it further, we can discuss it more or feel free to create a pull request and develop it further :) I'll add this issue as enhancement-idea.
