Selected text in the input is not getting errased in Safari on backspace where the cursor is jumping to end

Trying to input some random text in input field at particular position but the text is getting added at the end even while deleting the characters in the middle of the string still the cursor is jumping to the end of the input field . Would appreciate if there is any fix to sort out this issue.TIA.🙃
