I did this plugin for one of my project. I honestly don't have the time nor the will to keep working on it while it is functional. You are welcome to do a pull request that I'll review/merge though.

I merged your fork in a branch and fixed a few things, but I still have issue with translation.

Beside your small fixes I tested it and found some issues. TinyMCE 4 changed language labels from e.g. en to en_US, and so on. Another thing was a syntax error on non-german files. Works now for me.
