Each content file must have front matter for the site to work properly. Here’s a simple example:
Yaml format. Must have three hyphens at beginning and end. Formatted as key/value pairs (key: value). Adding a new content file The easiest way to add a new content file is to create a new file in the appropriate directory, and copy/paste the content of an existing, similar file into the new file, and then edit the front matter and content. Format the content in markdown (or HTML, if required). Make sure there’s an .md extension on the file name.
With the exception of News posts, the name of the file will be the name of URL. For example, about.md will become https://10x.gsa.gov/about/. Choose the file name with this in mind.
