Problem:
Although the published infima have been closed off from public access, it is still possible to read them in the archive.

Proposed solution:

Place all editions but the most recent one behind a login. This way, the most recent version is still accessible for everyone, but older editions are nicely secure behind a login.
Use subrequest authentication to achieve this: https://docs.nginx.com/nginx/admin-guide/security-controls/configuring-subrequest-authentication/
