I didn't know you two becoming part of the official funkin github moderation team was a such recent thing! I just thought I'd check to see what was happening over on the funkin project only to find that there's a been a bunch of updates and two very dedicated people diligently sorting out all the issues and pull requests. That, and a bunch of things that no one else has gone ahead and fixed yet. It all somehow got me motivated enough into making my own contributions. I hope that as the issues get sorted through I'll be able to find more issues that I could try closing myself, because doing this stuff is really fun! (plus, I can put all this stuff in my job applications when applying for the local game studios) I wish I learned how to properly use version control earlier, though (then again, I was way worse at coding a few years ago). |

The Funkin' GitHub Monthly Roundup - January 2025
Hey Funkin’ coders, compilers, and bug hunters,
Welcome to the brand-new Monthly Roundup, where we summarize this month’s events in the repository!
The Moderation Team
On January 21st, EliteMasterEric designated @AbnormalPoof and @Hundrec (me) as moderators for the Funkin’ GitHub repositories. Here’s Eric’s announcement.
From Day 1, we have been working hard on organizing and revamping this whole repository!
Progress Report
Here’s what we’ve achieved this month:
status: pending triage
to all PRs #4035)And last but not least…
I’m super excited because all of these changes will streamline the process for devs when they’re reviewing your issues and pull requests!
Statistics
The results are in… we’ve been busy this month!
Since the beginning of the year, we’ve closed 223 issues and merged 28 PRs.
That brings us from over 600 issues down to only 458!
Still quite a lot, but AbnormalPoof and I are dedicated to maintaining and organizing all of them, old and new :)
Here’s the full list of closed issues and merged PRs from January alone:

Jan 2025 Funkin’ Stats
Fun Fact
We’ve currently closed 332 duplicate issues created since April 30th, 2024!
To make sure your issue isn’t a duplicate, always remember to search for your issue using the search bar on the Issues page (we’ll thank you a bunch)!
Yep, all good for reporting!
Closing
Alright, that sums it up for this month’s Roundup! AbnormalPoof and I are on our way to label some more issues and PRs…
Tune in next time for more cool stats and stuff in February’s Monthly Roundup!
Hundrec 💯
