I know this has been addressed before but it's still an issue in June of 2020 when the original thread was created in Nov 2019. I really don't understand why this is still a problem MANY people are having.
Obviously, like many others, I am attempting to connect my PlayStation account to GOG So that I may redeem my copy of The Witcher 3 GOTY edition on my PC.
When I heard about the promotion I was very excited, and went to integrate my PSN account.... And then I received an error stating that "The connection to the server has timed out".
And on to the forums I go, fixing weird work arounds that all involve going to a linked URL and copying some nssso numbers and a lot of jargon that I am NOT going to do. I am not very tech savvy when it comes to messing with computer files and I'm not about to mess with some random URL posted in a forum saying it'll fix my issue.
I want it fixed through the official site.
I contacted GOG with the issue and was led here.

*On the GOG Galaxy 2.0 Launcher:

Add games and friends
connect platform
PlayStation Network > connect
Enter Correct email and password
Complete Captcha
Receive error " Connection to the Server has timed out"

I have attempted to log in MULTIPLE times on multiple days. Each time I complete through the Captcha, it says the Connection has Timed Out.

I am very very frustrated with this and will not be happy if I cannot link my game. It is very unfair for GOG to offer a promotion when I physically cannot accept the free game although I meet the requirements.

I had the same problem 3 hours ago, while my friend managed to do it 5-10 min before me.

I just tried and have the same issue and te same story with Witcher 3 :) . I'm from Poland. I have disabled two step login to PSN, but still: "The connection to the server timed out". I have tried on two PCs, just now and 3h ago - no luck.

Okay okay. I was going to avoid using this method but it did work for me.
I'm still PISSED at whoever is behind this issue, but if you want to get your copy before the deal ends, try the work around from

Keep all the tabs open to ensure the connection to PSN. (Don't close the Nsspo tab or PS tab)

Otherwise, voice your issues to PlayStation as well as here and on GOG. I want this fixed for everyone to use.

The only thing that linking your psn account to GOG is to add the games from it, you can not play any of them on the PC, that isn't how the integration works for console linking.

I don't know why you think you can play psn games on PC by linking it to GOG.

They are currently offering a promotion where you can download the copy of Witcher 3 Wild Hunt for free if you own it on Console or other PC platform. See the GOG website for details.

Bad timing to have a promotion like that when there are still unresolved issues with PSN integration, you would think GOG themselves would be aware of the issues.

Exactly why I'm so upset. A promotion going on when lot's of people are unable to access it because of a PSN issue. It's frustrating...

I have attempted several things to try and fix the timeout issue in the plugin, but to no avail.
There seems to be a CORS issue during the authentication process using the internal GOG browser, which doesn't seem to be an issue in newer versions of the major browsers.

So, for the time being, I have yet to find a better solution than the workaround posted on the GOG forums.

I have attempted to write detailed instructions on what to do here:
https://masheleni.github.io/gogpsn

Hope it helps someone out as a temporary solution until a fix is found by either GOG or by the 3rd party developer of the PSN Connector.

The last time I was on my PC I was able to login to PSN just fine without any workarounds, that was several days ago, I've mostly been on my Xbox One.

This workaround also worked for me:

But this guide scared me off being way tooo long😁

@trigzl if you are so "upset", why not fixing the bug yourself? FriendsOfGalaxy, despite being reviewed (and partly maintained by CDPR) is not an official set of plugins, and it's happens that a soft has bugs.

I totally agree that this bug is very inconvenient, and present for a long time, but be assured they already looked into it, and there is probably a good reason for the issue to be still here now.

Being "upset", "pissed off" or raging won't change that, won't push the dev to work faster (can be quite the opposite actually), and does not provide any good feedback. Yes it is inconvenient, but it was published without any warranty of work, and you never paid for it. So stay calm, update the relevant issue, and just follow the work around posted in the forums or other threads to claim your game.

Edit: read #7 if you want to know more about what is the issue, what has been done, and the work around (which was posted before you opened this issue…).
