Currently in Chat.io

We just show nothing as the content of the message

Discord

Discord shows a hint that the message was deleted

WhatsApp

WhatsApp shows the message despite its deletion

image

Signal

Signal shows the message despite its deletion

image

I personally prefer Discord's handling of this case
