I’d like to request a new feature to allow users to remove the URL portion from DOI fields (e.g., removing https://doi.org/), leaving only the DOI itself (the identifier string). Many templates, such as Springer’s LNCS, automatically prepend the URL to the DOI field during LaTeX compilation. When the full URL is already included in the BibTeX entry, this results in duplication in the final PDF.
This feature would be very helpful for improving compatibility with such templates.
Thank you for considering this!
