Support for Types.ARRAY [JDBC109] #149
Comments
Commented by: @mrotteveel Tentatively scheduled for Jaybird 2.3, depending on complexity this might be postponed to Jaybird 3.0 though. |
Modified by: @mrotteveelFix Version: Jaybird 2.3 [ 10440 ] |
Modified by: @mrotteveelassignee: Roman Rokytskyy [ rrokytskyy ] => Mark Rotteveel [ avalanche1979 ] |
Commented by: @mrotteveel Removed this from Jaybird 4 planning. Firebird arrays are not well documented and the API calls necessary to handle them are very opaque. On top of that, the JDBC api for arrays is also tricky. I'm happy to accept pull requests for this, but I will not be tackling this myself (at least not for the foreseeable future). |
Modified by: @mrotteveelFix Version: Jaybird 4 [ 10441 ] => |
Commented by: @mrotteveel As deprecation and removal of array types has been suggested in firebird-devel, it is unlikely this will ever be implemented. |

I was playing around with the employee.fdb database and I noticed that jaybird does not yet support Types.ARRAY type. Since I did not find anything related to this on the list, I was wondering if there are any plans on adding support for this. If yes, which version will support this?
It would be nice to have this feature implemented as Arrays are useful sometimes.
Thanks in advance,
Fidel.
